The Nigerian Army has confirmed that Lance Corporal Harrison Friday has been arrested for what it described as “cybercrimes”.
Recall that the Nigerian Army had on Saturday announced that its Operation Crocodile Smile would hold between October 20 and December 31 nationwide.
The announcement came amidst #EndSARS protests against police brutality, extortion, and extrajudicial killings in the country, creating a panic that the operation might have been launched to stop the protest.

“Lance Corporal Harrison Friday, the hooded soldier hiding behind the mask to commit cyber crimes has been apprehended in the ongoing cyber operations in support of Crocodile Smile VI. Be rest assured cyber criminals have no hiding place,” they said.
