Marginalization of the Igbos May Lead to Nigeria’s Extinction- Paul Play

Mr. Nwachukwu was arrested by men of the Lugbe police division on April 10 after the brother of the late singer reported a case of suspected homicide to the police. This comes after a series of reports and testimonies claiming that he has been beating the singer over the years. The sister and friend of the singer also raised speculations that the singer died due to excessive battering.

Speaking from police custody, Peter Nwachukwu claimed he is innocent as and stated that his late wife had been ill since November last year.

According to him, he first took her to Federal Medical Center (FMC), later to Gwagwalada General hospital, and then to National hospital, where she finally died. He, however, failed to disclose the nature of her illness.

However, the Police assured the family and Nigerians that they will escort him to their house to provide evidence of the hospitals he claimed to have taken his deceased wife for treatment.

Meanwhile, an autopsy has now been carried out on Osinachi Nwachukwu’s corpse to ascertain the real cause of her death. The autopsy became necessary after the late singer’s husband, alleged to have been responsible for her death, pleaded innocent.
